To diagnose congestive heart failure (CHF)

The StatusFirst CHF test device utilizes biotin coupled anti-NT-proBNP antibody/streptavidin solid-phase chromatographic immunoassay technology.  After a sample has been dispensed into the sample well, the StatusFirst CHF test device is placed in the LifeSign DXpress™ Reader.

The LifeSign DXpress Reader displays the NT-proBNP concentration 15 minutes after sample addition. The LifeSign DXpress Reader is programmed to convert the intensity of the test device band (as indicated by the "pBNP" line on the test device) into a concentration of NT-proBNP automatically by using lot specific calibration factors supplied via a data chip in each box. The NT-proBNP concentration in the sample correlates with the intensity of the test device band. In some cases the bands may be visible prior to being read by the LifeSign DXpress™ Reader; however, no interpretation should be made based on the degree of visibility of the bands.

The StatusFirst® CHF NT-proBNP test is a quantitative immunoassay that measures N-terminal pro-Brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP)

  • Plasma Sample
  • Easy to use - three drops of specimen into test device
  • Quantitative results in 15 minutes in DXpress™ Reader
  • Measures a range of 20 to 5000 pg/mL
